Payroll Services for Australian Employers

Everyone paid the right amount on the right day, at the correct award rate, with Single Touch Payroll filed on every run and super paid before the deadline rather than on it.

Why It Is Different

Payroll Is the One Thing You Cannot Quietly Fix Later

A miscoded expense is an inconvenience. An underpayment is a debt to your staff, a Fair Work matter, and a story you do not want. It compounds every pay cycle it goes unnoticed.

The uncomfortable part is that almost nobody underpays deliberately. It happens because an award has twelve classification levels, penalty rates change at 6pm on a Thursday, and the person doing payroll is also running the business.

How We Check Awards
01

The wrong classification level

A second-year apprentice still on first-year rates, or a casual moved to part-time without the loading coming off. Small per hour, large over a year.

02

Penalties that were never switched on

Weekend, evening and public holiday rates that exist in the award but not in your payroll settings, because nobody set them up at the start.

03

Super calculated on the wrong base

Allowances, overtime and leave loading each have their own treatment. Getting the base wrong understates super on every single pay.

04

Leave balances that drifted

Accruals set up once and never checked against hours actually worked. Discovered when someone resigns and the final pay does not add up.

05

STP filed late, or not at all

Reporting is due on or before payday. Miss it repeatedly and you have an ATO compliance problem sitting quietly in the background.

Three Ways We Help

Take the Whole Cycle, or Just the Hard Parts

Some clients hand us payroll entirely. Others keep processing in-house and bring us in for the award interpretation and the compliance layer.

Payroll Outsourcing

We run the entire cycle. You approve the summary, we issue payslips, file STP, generate the payment file and diarise the super. Payday stops being a task on your list.

Awards & Timesheets

Timesheets checked against the award that applies to each person, covering classification, penalties, allowances and overtime, before anyone is paid rather than after.

What Happens Between Timesheets and Payday

Four things happen every cycle, on a timetable. You are involved in exactly one of them.

Hours in and checked

Timesheets or roster data come across, and we check them against the award before anything is calculated: classification, penalties, allowances, overtime.

You approve one summary

A single page: each person, their hours, their gross, and anything that looks unusual flagged with a note. This is your only job in the cycle.

Paid, payslipped, filed

Payment file generated for your bank, payslips issued to each employee, and STP filed with the ATO on or before payday. Same day, every time.

Super tracked to the date

The liability accrues visibly in your accounts as the quarter goes, and the payment is scheduled with time to spare rather than on the last legal day.

Where Payroll Meets the Books

Payroll That Reconciles to the Ledger

When payroll and bookkeeping are done by different people who never speak, the wages control account slowly stops matching reality. We do both, so it does not.

  • Wages, PAYG and super control accounts reconciled monthly against what was actually filed and paid, not against what was intended.
  • Wages as a percentage of revenue on your monthly pack, which for most service and hospitality businesses is the single most important number they have.
  • Year-end that is already done. STP finalisation lines up with the accounts because the same team maintained both all year.

What Employers Ask

Honestly, it is less about headcount than about complexity. Four casuals on a hospitality award with penalty rates is more work than fifteen salaried staff on the same contract. If your team is award-covered, has variable hours, or includes apprentices, outsourcing usually pays for itself immediately.

We prepare the payment file and you release it from your own banking, which keeps control of the money entirely with you. That is the arrangement we recommend to every client. If you would rather we had payment authority, that can be arranged with your bank, but most owners prefer the separation and so do we.

Tell us early. We can reconstruct what should have been paid across the affected period and quantify the gap, which is the first thing you need before anything else can happen. Where the amount or the circumstances warrant it, we will say plainly that you should take employment law advice before you act. That is a lawyer’s job, not a bookkeeper’s.

Yes. All three platforms we work in have an employee app or portal where staff can see payslips, check leave balances and submit requests themselves. Turning it on removes most of the questions that currently land on you, and we set it up as part of onboarding.

Hand Us Your Payroll

Timesheets checked, payslips issued, STP filed and super paid on time, for one fixed monthly fee. We will review your current setup against the award that applies and quote you in writing before you commit to anything.
