Bookkeeping in Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks
We are not a one-platform shop, which means we have no reason to tell you your software is the problem when it is not. Sometimes the file just needs setting up the way it should have been on day one.

We work in all three every week, which is why we have no reason to move you off the one you are on.

If you are already on one of the three and it is set up properly, stay. If you are starting fresh, the honest default for most Australian small businesses is Xero, on the strength of the app ecosystem. If your payroll is award-heavy, MYOB earns a serious look. If you are a sole trader watching every dollar, QuickBooks is the cheapest sensible entry. We will give you a recommendation in the free consult, and it is not a sales pitch because we work in all three either way.
Yours, always. You own the subscription, you are the subscriber of record, and we work inside it as an invited user. Some bookkeepers hold the subscription themselves and bill it back. It is not illegal but it makes leaving them painful, and we think that tells you something. Ask anyone you are considering hiring this question.
Not if it is done properly. Two years of transactional history plus opening balances is the usual scope, and it is enough for comparative reporting and for your accountant. Full multi-year conversions are possible but cost more, and we will tell you honestly whether you would ever actually look at year four. The old file is kept read-only regardless.
No. You pay the platform directly at their published price, and our fee is for the work. That way you can see exactly what the software costs and what we cost, and neither of us has an incentive to put you on a plan you do not need.
